Dishes like kung pao chicken, sweet and sour pork, and General Tso’s chicken, among many others, were created by Chinese chefs and adopted in many other countries. A wide range of seasonings and other ingredients, such as soy sauce, ginger, and star anise, have also been widely adopted in different cuisines.
